My stay at El Angolo was a mixed bag. The location in San Isidro felt safe and clean, but the facilities in the room were pretty bare bones. Overall, it’s more suited for business travelers than tourists like me.
Rooms

The room had a comfy bed, but there were issues. It was flooded with orange street light at night, so definitely pack some eye pads and ear plugs. Plus, the bathroom had poor lighting and the drain was clogged.
Service

The staff was friendly and helpful, but they really lacked training. I had to carry my luggage up myself when I arrived, which was kind of a bummer. They did try their best though.

While the hotel is in a safe residential neighborhood, it felt a bit obscure and wasn't easy to find. San Isidro isn't exactly the tourist hotspot, so if you're looking for more action, you'd be better off in Miraflores.
Dining

Breakfast was pretty basic with just juice, cereal, ham, and cheese. It wasn't really clear how to order eggs, and the coffee was pretty bad too.
Facilities
5.0
While the room had a microwave and fridge, they didn’t provide any dishes or cutlery. There were also no plugs in the bathroom, which added to the inconvenience.

I found El Angolo to be a bit disappointing overall. While the cleanliness was acceptable, the hard mattress and poor bathroom facilities made for some uncomfortable moments. The location in San Isidro seemed a bit isolated, especially compared to the vibrant tourist spots in Miraflores.

My room had a hard mattress and was bathed in orange street light all night, making it difficult to sleep. There were also no night curtains and poor bathroom lighting, which added to the discomfort.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, but the training seemed lacking. For example, I had to carry my own luggage, and when I requested repairs in the bathroom, they cited a design issue rather than taking action.
Location

Situated in a residential area of San Isidro, the hotel is safe but feels obscure and hard to find. Prospective guests should note it's not close to the lively attractions that Miraflores offers.

Breakfast was pretty basic, and when I ordered room service, I didn't receive essential items like a fork or napkins. Plus, the kitchen closed too early for my taste.
Facilities

The hotel had the basic amenities, but the lack of kitchen items in the suite was frustrating. I expected more in terms of room facilities, especially for the price I paid.

I found El Angolo to be a decent place to stay, especially if you're on a business trip. but it definitely has its drawbacks. The location in San Isidro is safe, but it's not tourist-friendly with limited nearby dining options. I also noticed the rooms were clean, though the lack of basic kitchen items was frustrating.
Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and had a great view of the park, but the absence of proper kitchen utensils made it inconvenient. Also, the bed was comfortable, yet the streetlight shone through the shades all night.
Service
5.0
While the staff were friendly and tried to help, they were not adequately trained for some requests. which led to a few disappointments like missing items during breakfast service.
Location
6.0
Located in a quiet square, the hotel is in a safe area, but finding it was a hassle as there's no clear signage. Since it's in San Isidro, you might want to consider Miraflores for a more vibrant environment and better dining options.
Dining

The breakfast was quite basic with limited options. but it was sufficient to start the day. I found it a bit tricky to understand how to order eggs, adding to the confusion.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel did have a few useful amenities like room service and housekeeping, yet the kitchen facilities were lacking, making it hard to prepare meals as intended.

Staying at El Angolo was a mixed bag for me. The location in San Isidro is pretty safe, but it's not exactly tourist-friendly, and the service often fell short. The amenities in the apartment-style setup were practically non-existent, which made my stay less enjoyable.

The bed was comfy, but I couldn’t really sleep well with orange street lights flooding the room all night. Plus, the lack of proper bathroom lighting was a bummer.
Service

The staff was friendly, but they didn’t really seem to have a handle on things. I had to deal with a slow-clogging drain and they shrugged it off as a design flaw. Not cool.

Located in a quiet area, but it was hard to find and a bit weird for a tourist like me. I’d definitely suggest staying in Miraflores instead, though.

The breakfast was basic, and I just wasn’t impressed. The kitchen closing early was annoying too and I couldn’t even get scrambled eggs one morning because they said there was no gas.
Facilities

Facilities were lacking. My apartment had the essential setup but zero dining supplies—dishware or cutlery. Not ideal for cooking in if you’re on a budget.

My stay at El Angolo was a mix of positives and shortcomings. The place was clean and spacious, offering great views, but lacked essential kitchen items. The noise from the outside and the street lights made it hard to sleep, and the breakfast was quite basic. 😕

The room was clean and spacious, but the bed was too firm for my liking, and I struggled with the glare from the orange street light all night. Eye pads and ear plugs are a must! 🛌
Service

The staff were friendly and attempted to be helpful, but they seemed poorly trained, as I carried my own luggage without assistance upon arrival.
Location

Located in the San Isidro business district, the hotel is a bit removed from touristy areas like Miraflores, which could make dining options limited.
Dining

Breakfast was basic and not very exciting, more variety would be appreciated. Room service could have been better, as I received my order without utensils.
Facilities

The facilities were barebones, with the kitchen lacking basic items like plates and cutlery, making cooking impossible unless you're prepared. However, the drainage in the bathroom needs attention.
